Government officials have been encouraging and enforcing people to practice social distancing and self-quarantining. Gatherings in large crowds and events are canceled until further notice (i.e. sports, cruises, festivals, bars, dining in restaurants, etc) in efforts to reduce the illness from spreading to more people. Some people feel like they are losing their minds from having to stay at home and do not what to do with themselves, so here are a few suggestions to get you started:
Start your spring cleaning
If you've been trying to find the time and energy to start, your time is now! Sort through your inventory (clothes, jackets/coats, accessories, hats/scarves, novelties/miscellaneous). Figure out what no longer fits, what you are never going to wear again or can live without, and/or what can you give away to someone who may need it more than you.
Start reorganizing
Play around with different ways to move things around your room and/or home to give it a new look. Find ways to create a healthy study/workspace so that you don't fall behind when it's time to return after this Corona Virus pandemic is over. Strategize new ways to reorganize your dressers/drawers to reduce space and maintain order.Distract yourself and have fun!
This COVID-19 pandemic may lead you to have troubling and anxious thoughts, especially since you have to social distance yourself from friends and family for a while. Take this time to self-reflect on your own life, brainstorm different ways you can improve and better yourself, set and review your goals and start journaling (if you haven't already) so that you can always have it and remind yourself when times get tough. Find online dance parties and/or have your own mini-concert with your immediate family, catch up on your favorite or find new Netflix series/movies, use Netflix's new option of watching them and chatting in real-time with your friends from different locations (look on their site for more information), get into some arts & crafts and/or spend more time with your family just to give you some ideas.
